A video for Van De Sfroos. Even Cristicchi among fans

A video–message to support Davide Van De Sfroos’s participation in Sanremo. An idea that comes from his fan club and that, in only a few days, has reached a great success. On the Facebook website, in one week almost thirty five videos have been “posted”, all over Italy: for example, Barbara from Brembate, Mirko from Calabria, San Vincenzo band; then there is Giorgio from America and two important fans, like Simone Cristicchi and the singer–songwriter Luigi Maieron. All of them to support Davide.

“ We have decided to give fans the possibility to support Van De Sfroos for the Festival,” Paolo explains (for “il Baffo” friends), Cauboi’s founder, singer songwriter’s fan club. “ We have always supported him and in 2000 we opened the website. It seemed strange that none of the newspapers dealt with him and we liked the idea of sharing with everybody our passion.”

It is a passion that has been living for more than a decade. “ Davide is unique and we do not miss a concert.” Meanwhile, videos on Facebook multiply: there are people who send messages from America, there is Rea from Cuneo, Tiziana from Milan with her cat, a woman from Messina who goes to the rescue, saying: “Up Italian dialects!” There is Manu, the Roman from Brianza and Captain Lore with family from Varese, Kisio, a cyclist from Gorgonzola and people who create real sketches like the friends from Cornate D’Adda. “ It is a way of saying that Davide is known and loved all over Italy. For this reason many massages are in dialect.” From Sicily to Sardinia, from Lombardy to Veneto messages will be collected in one video “ that we want to give Davide as a present, so that he can feel his fans’ love.” Meanwhile, virtual fans keep on writing on the Facebook website. However, what does Davide think? “ He has always been helpful with us and he has taken part in many of our ventures.” Every year cauboi organise a dinner for all the fans. “ Last year we were two hundred but many had to give up because there was no more places left.” Cardholders to the club are almost one thousand, many the “cauboi” who keep on supporting the dialectal singer who, “ this year I am going to watch Sanremo, something that I have never done before.” The singer will be in Varese in April 15^th for a concert in Piazza Repubblica theatre.
