Quadrivio company buy 40% of “Lo scoiattolo” ravioli industry

Quadrivio Sgr (investment Management Company) took out a capital increase of 40% of the “Lo scoiattolo spa” ravioli industry, Lonate Ceppino food industry, one of the top three Italian high quality fresh pasta makers.

Founded thirty years ago by Umberto Belletti (in the picture on the right), in 2011 the company had 25-million-Euro turnover, has got more or less 100 employees and it exports more than 60% of its production. These are results reached thanks to the continuous innovation of products, to the quality of the ingredients and to traditional recipes. Ravioli industry CEO and founder’s son-in-law Aquilino Di Caro says: “working together with Quadrivio means reaching the maximum quality and proposing new products in world markets, where made-in-Italy food has more and more a cultural importance. We also believe that Quadrivio experience in food and restaurant industries allows us to develop new abilities and to optimise our resources.”

Quadrivio Sgr, private Equity Company managing more than 250 million Euros, specialised in the buyout of Italian medium enterprises in its reference market, thanks to this new buyout completed the Q2 fund fifth investment: amounting to 150 million Euros.

Quadrivio Sgr chairman Alessandro Binello comments: “we’re very satisfied with this investment, because we think that the company, with the new capital increase, now has all the financial supports in order to create a good domestic organisation and to successfully develop in the international markets, where fresh pasta consumption is increasing. This action is totally consistent with our investment strategy in leader societies in their niche sectors that, thanks to our support, want to increase world-wide, as it happened for Rossopomodoro, Emmeci and Fine Sounds, which now have the majority of their turnover generated abroad”.
