Brugnoli to students: “Open your horizons”
The entrepreneur in charge of Tiba Tricot has accompanied the students of the Da Vinci secondary school in occasion of the first day of the Pmi Day, organised by Univa

A group of students of the third year of the secondary school Da Vinci in Castellanza opened, Monday morning, the 2016 edition of Pmi Day visiting Tiba Tricot. The initiative, wanted by the Union of Industrialists of the Province of Varese in collaboration with schools.
To welcome them in the company was the owner Giovanni Brugnoli, former president of Univa, who showed to the students how the textile company works, from the arrival of the raw materials in the warehouse to the storage of the finished product.
Tiba Tricot is one of the largest textile companies in the area and has a history that has its roots in the heart of the economic boom when the father of Brugnoli, in 1963, began the textile company that today produces warp-knit fabrics for fashion, sport, automotive and home furnishings. Today it has 30 employees and a turnover which depends on foreign countries for 20%.
Brugnoli accompanied the students for nearly two hours and showed them the various phases of work in the company. The students were able to see with their own eyes how a fabric is born from the conception of patterns to their creation. Finally the entrepreneur spoke of the difficulties of doing business in Italy today also because the entry into the game of rising powers such as China or India, especially in the textile sector: “There are entrepreneurs and workers that want to take over what we take for granted and to do that they are ready to make sacrifices that today we are no longer willing to do,” he said, “for this you need to know how to open your horizons and look beyond the workplaces near your home. Thanks to mobility today you can go to London in two hours and at reduced prices, ask for more from yourselves.”
